John Cuff

John Cuff is currently the Lighting Director of New York City Ballet. Throughout his career he has designed numerous world premiers.  He has collaborated with choreographers such as Jorma Elo, Helen Pickett, Jose Martinez. Val Caniparoli. Yury Yanowsky, Jeffrey Cirio and Viktor Platnikov.  His designs have premiered at the National Ballet of Canada and the Staatsoper of Vienna.  In addition to his work in dance, John has designed for A.R.T. MHAT Institute, New England Conservatory, Boston Midsummer Opera and Lyric Stage Company of Boston.  John also served as Lighting Supervisor for Boston Lyric Opera for 5 seasons.  He currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
